Blue Technologies considers it a privilege to help the communities in which we work and live. Since 1995, we have allied ourselves with Guidestone Ohio (formerly Berea Children’s Home & Family Services), a nonprofit dedicated to the development, physical and mental health of individuals and families living at or below the poverty line.

We subscribe to the philosophy that to give is just as, if not more, enjoyable as to receive. That conviction motivates Blue Technologies employees to contribute their time and resources.  During the holiday season, a Giving Tree is erected in the lobby of the headquarters in Cleveland.  It is decorated only with lights as the employees are provided ornaments to hang on the tree when they bring in an item for a child at Guidestone.  A memo is shared to educate the staff to bring in gifts and the race to fill the tree with holiday ornaments begins!

But it doesn’t stop there. . . vendors and customers now partner with Blue Technologies to donate since they have seen the lobby filled with gifts, clothing, toys, bikes and video games.  A 24’ truck delivers the donations shortly before Christmas only to find Guidestone social workers waiting for the delivery so that they can shop for clients and wrap the gifts accordingly to make a difference in a child’s holiday season.

Additionally, Blue Technologies hosts an annual holiday party that serves over 300 clients of Guidestone’s inner-city programs.  This event is filled with Blue volunteers and boasts an endless supply of food, games, music, entertainment and gifts for every child.

Last, Blue Technologies is proud to be the lead sponsor of Guidestone’s Golf & Club Classic.  This annual event proudly grosses over $100K in net gross profit for the non-profit agency.  Blue Technologies not only helps solicit new sponsors annually but also donates radio airtime to advertise for this feel good event.

Blue Technologies has been recognized for its community service work receiving the Pillar Award from Smart Business Magazine and Medical Mutual in 2004, 2008 and 2011, as well as the CVS Good Samaritan Award in 2008.
