Human Resources Generalist


  • Complete proficiency in company policies and procedures in order to carry out, and counsel others to carry out
  • Serve as employee advocate while assisting managers to coach and develop employees
  • Conduct new hire orientation and benefits enrollment meetings
  • Process and manage new hire and termination notifications, FMLA and 401K internally and externally
  • Manage and execute FMLA, corrective action, and termination policy including working with counsel, staff and management team
  • Administrate BWC claims with TPA and unemployment claims
  • Interact with vendors to manage existing benefits, review benefits options at renewal and manage daily employee coverage and related escalation issues
  • Maintain accurate record keeping via utilization of electronic filing system for privacy, accuracy and potential legal matters / exercise strong organization skills and provide detailed notes of all meetings sound judgment
  • Implement drug-free workplace policy and pre-hire background checks
  • Working knowledge and implementation of Ohio Wage & Labor laws, federal and state reporting, Ohio New Hire reporting, business law, and benefits legislation
  • Generate required reports for CFO and participate in audits and legal matters accordingly


  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, possess sound judgment, compassion and strong leadership qualities, including experience in conflict resolution
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while under duress / multi-taking
